We are proud to have partnered with The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the past several years. We have raised over $98,000 for this organization, including $20,055 in the 2023 to 2024 academic year. Our goal for this year is to raise a total of $25,000.
Kappa Delta Phi NAS was founded in 1971, when the first chapter, Kappa Lambda, was chartered at Husson University in Bangor, Maine with the assistance of Kappa Delta Phi Fraternity. Before the formal establishment of the sorority, three earlier organizations—Kappa Beta, Kappa Phi, and Kappa Omega—were also founded by the fraternity at campuses across New England.
In 1977, the sorority became officially incorporated as Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority. Since then, it has grown to include active chapters throughout New England and beyond, while continuing to build on its founding principles of leadership, philanthropy, and sisterhood.
